PANINI STREAKING.

It’s like a winning streak but with paninis and nobody’s naked but there isn’t any pants. Basically I had paninis for lunch every day for a week because paninis are delicious and I had a loaf of sourdough bread that needed to be eaten. The particular babe sandwich above involves pepper jack cheese and garlicky kale and it was insane. I’ll have to throw together a panini post with some of my favorites.

Until panini explosion happens  you should head over to check out the brand spankin’ new (it launches today!!) Dine x Design. My friend Kristin is manning the everything about food and design ship and it just so happens that I’ve got a section over there in the company of a bunch of super talented fabulous people. CHECK. IT. OUT.

First up on this week’s grocery list is Dana with vegan CHAI. ICE. CREAM. Cashews are involved and I want all of it.  (via Minimalist Baker)

Tracy went out and made me stuffed shells with lots of sausage and kale and cheese aka heaven. (via Shutterbean)

CHOCOLATE SOUFFLE WITH EARL GREY CREAM. I don’t know if I’m more exclamation point about the chocolate souffle or the tea infused whipped cream but I do know Gab is one sneaky talented bitch. (via The Artful Desperado)

You guys Adrianna gave us s’mores for breakfast. S’MORES. POP. TARTS. (via A Cozy Kitchen)

Actually let’s put it in butter and put that all over some of these oat biscuits from Erika and then just eat all the biscuits. (via Southern Souffle)

My gurl Megan went all out again in the cereal milk game with cocoa puff ice cream that I need like whoa. Seriously this summer will be about all the frozen cereal milk goodies. (via Take a Megabite)

There’s this cheesecake ice cream from Cindy with an unspeakable amount of cream cheese that makes my heart melt because cream cheese. (via Hungry Girl Por Vida)

Sarah leveled up the apple fritter key to my soul with the salted caramel key and then everything was right with the world. (via The Sugar Hit)

I’m pretty sure Ashlae is a witch for this two ingredient chocolate mousse that’s just casually vegan. (via Oh, Lady Cakes)

I love coffee so so much so it’s not surprising at all that I want a giant cup of this irish vietnamese combo explosion from Stephanie. (via i am a food blog)

French toast + coconut + sour cherries + dark chocolate = what’s making me drool. Heather knows what’s up. (via Flourishing Foodie)

Molly mixed up some cake truffles because she had scraps. I would just like to make a whole cake and then smash it with frosting and eat it with a spoon while watching housewives. (via My Name is Yeh)

Izy is caboosing this week’s list with one more ice cream recipe that’s got a pistachio crumb that’s making me feel things. (via Top with Cinnamon)

For music this week there’s a video for a song that I’ve listened to approximately 5,000 times. Iggy Azalea is so good on so many levels but she just took a lap around everyone else with a video that was styled around Clueless, even shot at the same high school, and I love every. bit. of. it. Also it turns out dogs aren’t crazy about you rapping it to them but it’s great for fueling your kitchen bidness.

Steve got me a waffle iron and I’ve leslie knoped twice in one week and I’m not ashamed to admit there’ll be a third and fourth time this weekend. I’ve chosen the waffle ironing over clothes ironing and I’m not quite sure you guys, but I think I’m yoloing.

Once I figure out which one I ate the fastest I’ll go ahead and share it with your faces on monday. Until then I just have to eat all the waffles and make EVERYTHING on this week’s grocery list because serious talent:

GROCERY LIST 33

Grocery List 33 // Wit & Vinegar

It’s that time of year again where people everywhere freak out over being single or together or chocolate or whatever aka the big v-day. I’m always just meh about all of it. While some love it and others loathe the idea I’m just sitting over here eating a bunch of brownies making valentine’s  for Steve based of the trashy tv we like to watch. I actually get a little excited about it. I figured since it is the day of love and making out with sugar I’d round up some sweet goodness for this week’s grocery list. Cue my dance song:

First up is Nicole with the waffle donut hybrid of my dreams. Plusss there’s the prettiest of blood orange icing, so, win-win. (via Dula Notes)

Dana went and made mini vegan cheesecakes because MINI CHEESECAKES. I should probably suggest that you double them because I would probably eat an entire batch myself. Mini means you can eat more. (via Minimalist Baker)

Not only did Megan give us salted Caramel that I want to Nigella Lawson but she put it between some vanilla shortbread and fresh marshmallow cream and I can’t handle it. (via Take a Megabite)

Adrianna is pushing me even further into the need for a waffle maker with double chocolate waffles. I need one like whoa like I need these bebes. (via A Cozy Kitchen)

RITZ, CHOCOLATE, STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM. aka how to make friends with anyone unless you’re that wal-mart cashier that questioned my life when I bought some fudge dipped ritz. It’s okay, I handled the situation with one of these. (via Joy the Baker)

Jon is going all out for his Valentine with pistachio eclairs. I mean, pistachio everywhere eclairs. Little does he know I’m breaking into his house and taking all of them. (via The Candid Appetite)

Tracy’s just trying to get me to make dessert nachos with these cinnamon sugar tortilla chips. It doesn’t help that they’re supa cute and heart shaped. (via Shutterbean)

For music this week I stuck with the luuuv theme and am giving you some classic Mariah because she has a new single out and I’m still eh about it and this one has a wedding gown train that could Rapunzel’s weave a run for it’s money. Practice the words, go out and buy a wedding gown and sing this to someone special.

GROCERY LIST XXXII

Grocery List XXXII // Wit & Vinegar

A couple weeks ago I got that piece of crap cold/flu/demonbaby that made it’s way around and I was not having any of it. I was, however, having a major craving for chocolate chip cookies. The last thing I wanted to do was make a batch of cookies so in my delusional state I drove to target and bought those cookies that are in a giant rectangle that you break up an bake. WHAT. THE. HELL.

They are officially to me what sprinkle cookies are to Theresa. What cardboard is to someone that eats cardboard. I can’t.

That led me to find these beauties the next day. There’s some whole wheat, a bunch of chocolate and I get to use cold butter because I don’t always pencil in my cookie cravings. Since then we’ve had major cravings for brownies on the weekly and I’ve been trying some different recipes. When the perfect one happens I’ll share with you my bebes. Until then we look over my grocery list that has some major sweet tooth happening.

Bebes.

First up is Lindsay with a hottie no bake peanut butter banana cream pie. Anything with that much peanut butter and heavy cream is totally a two ramonaeyes rating. (via Love and Olive Oil)

Heather made a big pan of rolls filled with chocolate and I want all of them end of story. (via Flourishing Foodie)

Izy went and made blondies even better with bananas and pecans and chocolate. I mean, I have a bag of those ripe bananas on my counter so there’s gonna be a sexy pan coming out of my oven pretty soon. (via Top with Cinnamon)

Joy reminded me that I have a doughnut pan and I should show it some love with double chocolate cake doughnuts and then eat all of them. I’m game. (via Joy the Baker)

Jessica casually added kettle potato chips to chocolate frosted raised doughnuts. I asked to motorboat, she said yes, I’ll keep you updated. (via How Sweet it Is)

You could give me any rice crispy treat and I’d eat it, but these peanut butter brown butter ones from Stephanie would be eaten like 10 times faster (via Girl Versus Dough)

Megan made everyone’s dreams come true when she made CEREAL MILK ICE CREAM using chocolate peanut butter cereal. I scream, you scream, we all Ramonaeyes for that ice cream. (via Take a Megabite)

Adrianna turned the beet around and shoved it in some hummus. Sorry. (via A Cozy Kitchen)

Dana also turned the beet around but she shoved it in some vegan chocolate lava cakes. Also sorry. (via Minimalist Baker)

I know everyone everywhere else is experiencing crazy cold right now so you should probably do like Tracy and put some cherry booze in your hot chocolate. (via Shutterbean)

Cindy went and made a dutch baby that made me facebook comment sing some No Doubt because Gwen Stefani. (via Hungry Girl Por Vida)

In case anyone wants to have their mind blown for breakfast, Jon gives you fry bread breakfast tacos because obvs. (via The Candid Apetite)

Also on the breakfast train/one recipe closer to making me need a waffle maker is Sarah with some feather light buckwheat waffles that I want to Leslie Knope so hard. (via The Sugar Hit)

Aaaand caboosing the breakfast train/this grocery list is my girl Erika with some pepper broccoli hash. Maybe we can casually throw some in a fry bread taco? Uh, yes. (via Southern Souffle)

For music this week we’re listening to Kylie Minogue’s latest single because it’s Kylie Minogue and I want to be her when I grow up. Plus this is total pants optional dance around the kitchen while baking cookies music aka the best kind of music.

THE BEERGARITA

The Beergarita // Wit & Vinegar

Hey there you pretty bird, I’ve got some alcohol for you.

I figured that I should probably contribute something towards Super Bowl aka February Thanksgiving aka how many nachos can I fit in my face. For me the day isn’t too exciting because I don’t watch any sports. I’m that guy that watches for the commercials and Beyonce. I sort of Caroline Manzo all of it, and I’m just like in a dark corner by myself eating a pile of melted cheese and drinking a beergarita.

The beergarita is a special drink because most recipes involve a ton of tequila and a good amount of frozen lime-aid concentrate. I’m no go on the lime-aid and I promise to never use that same container to measure out tequila. My top needs to stay on.

This version of the beergarita is much simpler with just three ingredients: Beer (obvs), fresh lime juice, and agave. You’re getting the best of a couple worlds in just one glass. Now I know what you’re thinking: ‘Billy shame on you for trashing up beer’ to which I reply ‘I could give two shits.’ This is definitely something you should try with a couple of plain untouched beers so people have the option of what they want to use to intoxicate themselves. It’s your party, do whatever.

Now, let’s get to mixing.

SALTED BROWN SUGAR TOFFEE COOKIES

Salted Brown Sugar Toffee Cookies // Wit & Vinegar

For the past couple of years, Lindsay over at Love and Olive Oil and Julie at The Little Kitchen have been putting on a big fabulous internet extravaganza called The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap. Basically cookies were in everyone’s faces as bloggers swapped a dozen cookies with three other bloggers then ate the whole three dozen by themselves. I could have swore I read somewhere that we got a pair of pajama jeans for post cookie inhaling.

My contribution for this sugar explosion was something to use up all the brown sugar I’ve been making because I’ve been a brown sugar factory and I feel so Ina about it. You know how she is with chicken stock, that’s me with brown sugar. I’m basically one crisp white shirt and a barn away from being as fabulous as she is.

When I had made all the brown sugar in the world I had two recipes set aside: my one bowl blondies and Joy’s brown sugar cookies. I figured that Joy’s would be easier to ship so I made a double batch, threw in some toffee bits, and sprinkles a little Maldon on top.

OO. WEE.

Salted Brown Sugar Toffee Cookies and Printable // Wit & Vinegar

These babies stay nice and chewy thanks to the brown sugar, are practically screaming MAKE ME INTO AN ICE CREAM SANDWICH, and are perfect for gift giving this year. Joy describes them as chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips and that’s totally what they are. We sneak some ginger and cinnamon in there, just enough to be like hey gurl not hey gurl heyy and it makes me think that they’re holiday cookie royalty.

When I sent my batches out to the other bloggers I got them bagged up and taped some keewwt labels on there aaand I gave them some fresh brown sugar because that’s who I am now. Also confetti was involved because duh. Rectangle shaped hole punches FTW!

On top of all this business, I’ve included a printaabbllllle! That tag up there gets printed out, folded and stapled to a clear bag (4x9x2). How easy is that?!

BRB I need to starch my shirt.
